Sectors – Laboratories
With the Framework law of 1982, for the better coordination of educational activities Sectors were created within the Departments in the Higher Education Institutions. Hence, four Sectors were created within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, with personnel, educational and research activities grouped within them according to their thematic areas of expertise.
To these Sectors, which are presented below, a fifth one, the Software and Application Development Sector, was recently added (O.G.G. 755/11-6-2003 ΥΑ 29058/Β1). Presently, the five Sectors consist of 17 Laboratories and one Study Lab, while there is one Laboratory directly under the Department. The five Sectors, with their educational, research activities and personnel are:
