Christos J. Schinas is a Full Professor at the Department Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Democritus University of Thrace (Greece). He is the Director of the Graduate Program ‘SystemsEngineering & Management’ which is co-organized by the Democritus University of Thrace and the University of Macedonia. He graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) in 1991, he obtained his MSc degree in 1992 from the Univ. of Rhode Island (USA) and he obtained his PhD degree in 1998 fromthe Univ. of Macedonia (Greece). His research area is Difference Equations, Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems, Fuzzy Logic. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses at Greece and U.S.A.. He is the author of four mathematics textbooks. He has published about 60 research papers in dependable international journals. He has given 35 talks in international conferences. There are more than 1000 citations refereeing to his published articles. Prof. Schinas has been awarded with a Teaching Assistantship throughout his graduate studies (1991-1992). He has been awarded with a Post Doc Assistantship by the State Scholarships Association ofGreece (2000-2001). He was main/invited speaker at several conferences (e.g. International Conference on Differential and Difference Equations, 14-17 July, 2008, Veszprem, Hungary. 4th International Conference on Differential & Difference Equations and Applications, 1-5 July ‘19, Lisbon, Portugal). He was the co-organizer of the international conference PODE at Xanthi, Greece in 2010.
