SHORT CV

Ioannis Karafyllidis received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, both from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace. His research emphasis is on Microelectronic and Nanoelectronic Circuits and Systems, Quantum Information Processing, Molecular Electronics and Systems Biology. He is Fellow of the Institute of Nanotechnology (FIoN), a Founding Member of the American Academy of Nanomedicine and a Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE). He is an Associate Editor in three international journals. He participated as principal investigator or work package leader in 12 national and international research projects. He acted as evaluator for research proposals submitted after both national and international calls. He has published more than 92 papers in refereed ISI-indexed journals. More than 2100 journal, and conference papers cite his research work. He acts as a referee and/or adjudicator for 42 international, ISI-indexed journals.
