SHORT CV

George Bakos received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece in 1988. He obtained his PhD from Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, The University of Liverpool, England in 1991.Currently he is Full Professor in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece and Director of Energy Economics Laboratory. He has published numerous papers on renewable energy technologies and he was involved in many national and international research projects in this subject. His interests also include applications in nuclear technology, distributed generation and energy economics.
