Underground and overhead power lines. HVDC systems. Electrical and mechanical properties of power lines. Electric and magnetic fields from power lines. Transmission line modelling. Active and reactive power transmission and control. Voltage drop and power loss calculations. Reactive power compensation. Power flow analysis.
