The Sun’s dynamo, ω- and α-effect, the 11-year cycle. Solar flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs). The X-line reconnection model converting magnetic energy to mechanical one. Interplanetary medium. Solar wind magnetosphere interaction. Storms and substorms. The magnetosphere cavity and its current systems. Cross-tail current and current disruption (CD). Auroral electrojet current, Pedersen and Hall ionosphere currents. Effects of Space Weather on Technology Infrastructure. Specifying and Forecasting Space Weather. Threats to Human Technology. Ground Effects of Space Weather, geomagnetically induced currents (GIC). The atmospheric electricity. The current flow in the atmospheric circuit. The dynamo of the Earth.
