Introduction to heat transfer and fluid mechanics. Thermal conduction. Thermal conductivity of materials. Thermal convection. Boundary layer. Layered and turbulent flow. Grashof, Reynolds, Prandtl, Mach, Peclet numbers. Thermal flow and resistance. Electric equivalent. Heat exchangers. Time-varying heat flow. Thermal radiation. Planck’s Laws.
