Block diagrams of communication links, transmitters and receivers. Performance indicators of transmitters and receivers: dynamic range (linear and non-linear), distortion, noise figure and gain. Features – specifications of each stage: amplifiers, filters, mixers, oscillators, duplexers and antennas. Link budget, signal-to-noise ratio, and error rates for digital links. Cascades computer simulation and finding of modules parameters values from block diagram system specifications. |
