The research is typically conducted in the Department&#8217;s <strong>Laboratories<\/strong> as part of <strong>programmes of research<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These programmes are funded by current capital grant, such as Regular Budget, Public Investments, the levy of Pension Fund of Public Project Engineers (TSMEDE).<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, they are funded by non-institutional carriers that financially support research and development, such as the General Research and Technology Secretariat, the Industry, the European Union and others.<\/p>\n<p>Since its foundation the Department of Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering has developed <strong>increased activity in the area of research<\/strong>, resulting in <strong>numerous publications<\/strong> on international magazines and conference proceedings. Also, the <strong>cooperation with other Universities and Research Centers<\/strong> in Greece and abroad as well as the Industry has accented the Department to a research activity center with international recognition.
